Fire Security offers cable repair and fire protection worldwide.

Fire Security is a Norwegian company specializing in class approved repair and fire protection of electrical cables. We are the only producer offering a turn-key operation with specially trained personnel for application worldwide.

Fire Security’s DNV-GL approved coating systems have been utilized for decades on offshore installations.
We provide cable jacket repairs and environmental protection of cables as well as fire technical upgrades of cables in high risk areas. FS coated cables can withstand a hydrocarbon fire for up to 90 mins.

The FS5 coating system can extend the cables lifetime by up to 3 times and is resistant to UV, seawater, mud, oil and chemicals. Investing in the longevity of electrical cables is an investment in secure performance and an insurance against production/operation shutdown.

Saving Cost, Saving Assets, Saving Lives

In a fire situation our systems will prevent:

  • Ignition of the cable insulation
  • Release of toxic fumes from the cable insulation
  • Release of poisonous gas (HCL) from the cable insulation
  • The cable tray from melting and collapsing
